I have loved to bake since I was a little girl. My first bakery was in our backyard. My sisters and I would make cakes out of sand and decorate them with rocks. Sometimes they looked so beautiful we would taste them...blech, not very tasty. When my daughter graduated from high school I treated myself to going back to school and received a baking and pastry certification from Washtenaw Community College. I spent 8 years in the bakery at Whole Foods Market where I gained so much more knowledge and confidence. I was honored to be chosen to create bakery products for several whole foods bakeries in the Midwest and many of my creations remain with Whole Foods.
